Yep, it's 137816. One of those not yet shipped.
And 816 is indeed an LSV, the tops were trimmed later in the process.
I was looking at the photos so far, and 812, 815 and 816 were together in a photo at one point. They are now the last to be completed.
Mike

Yup, that one is mine  :bgrin:

Is that top STILL sitting on the table? No wonder it wasn't shown on the last list you sent me  (kidding).

I was able to get a photo of the top showing the grain

Yours and Richards photos are great.
Your photo shows the same kind of artifact I see in mine, tiny, short, lateral (bright looking) lines. They disappear when moving the eye to a different point.
Very cool.

Wasn't going to say 816 was yours.... you are paying attention.
Of course, you deserve to be late, after your "hair-raising", last possible-second, "well after the deadline" order.
Glad you managed to get onboard.

Those "rays" that show up across the grain are medullary characteristics, or silking, and I've seen it in everybody's pictures. I'm sure most if not all know this but these are top grade tops! Perfectly quarter sawn, maximum stiffness...many thanks to the Larrivees for gracing us with such fine wood!
As a side note, I let a friend play my VI at practice yesterday. It was incredible to be 8 feet away listening to my guitar (while I played my Larrivee F33 mandolin!). The guys were truly impressed, and so was I. It's one thing hearing yourself play it, and altogether something else hearing it played. I was hoping Scott would report back from his picking party.

All of these Moon Spruce tops are beautiful! How is everyone liking the  Walnut/ Moonspruce combo?

Absolutely love it! Subjective, of course, but to me the voice of my Forum VI is phenomenal. It sparkles, it has bass galore, it does everything I've asked of it so far and I've spent hours and hours with it already. It's a beautifully vibrant guitar that sounds bigger than it's size.

Update.
Not that there is a whole lot of new info, but there has been a flurry of emails and PM's, anyhow....
According to John "Looks like Tom's guitar just came out of paint and is doing some time in the climate room".
Also, "Clint's guitar is just about completed".
I think Tom may have heard this directly from John as well.
Now... Fraiser's guitar was shipped and may well arrive up in Alaska in a day or two or who knows. Don't know any last second news on that. Fraiser hasn't said anything to us yet. We have no idea what conditions are like up there, so we just have to be patient when it come to news from the far North in the wintertime.

My guitar left Oxnard on Monday the 17th and made it to Seattle late Saturday night and seems to be stuck there, or at least no tracking since then.  I'm guessing
it is getting trucked all the way up here and that's ok as I have nothing but patience, and other guitars to keep me occupied.  The temperatures have also gone from
hovering around Zero degrees to a balmy 40'ish which has made everything an ice rink when it refreezes!!

Speaking of guitars, if any of you get the chance to attend the 'International Guitar Night' that is presently on tour, I highly recommend it.  This was my 3rd time seeing
the show and will never miss another if I can help it.

Thanks for the adventure everyone!!

Since Frasier, Clint and I are the last three on the list for the Forum VI, its nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I also got a text from John yesterday that Mike referenced.

Like Frasier's guitar, I was stuck in Seattle for three extra days and it took my luggage five days to get home. If I have learned anything during my lifetime, becoming more patient is near the top. This unique guitar will fit in nicely with my other two Larrivees and is my first guitar with a pickup installed at the factory.

My house is a 2,508 mile ride from Oxnard. I was talking to my son about the cold temperatures and he said, "remember dad, the top of your guitar spent most of its life above the tree line in Europe."

Usual disclaimers apply...
1. I wasn't warmed up.
2. The guitar is still getting used to it's environment.
3. Yes, that is me breathing.
4. I figured the relief was too low. It's been adjusted.
5. Been awhile since I did a video.

I would make up new disclaimers, but I have no excuses...
Another little video with the F-VI. I was doing some fooling around, then made a take.

Really nice Mike! I haven't even drifted into alternate tunings...yet. I just love how the voice of these guitars is so much bigger than you might expect. And clear as a bell.

One can drift into dropped D tuning easily, and it is remarkably easy to get some good riffs and patterns that will occupy you for hours.
It is easy to play in key of D, key of G and even key of F with fairly full chords that don't make you feel like you are cheating by playing stuff that sounds over simplistic.

I only meant with my already beloved Forum VI. I play quite often in alternate tunings and have my OM-40 set up in drop D. Really enjoyed your clips.
