An incredible instrument. Much nicer sounding then the Martin that it almost looks like.

The same luthier brought in Bourgeois and Santa Cruz guitars that look just like Gibson round-shouldered Jumbos. The Bourgeois is long scale, so it sounds like an Advanced Jumbo and the SC is short scale, so it has the distinctive sound of a J-45 or Southerner Jumbo.

All of the above go for well over $3,000 Canadian! Hey, it's only money.

Folkway Music in Guelph Ontario. Best damn little guitar shop in Ontario! He is taking business away from some of the big centers in Toronto. His name is Mark Stuttman and he is a genius both in business and in guitar making and repairing.

Mention my name (John Griffin) and you might get him to add extra to the price (kidding!)

Sorry, Uncle Rob, I have been sailing Georgian Bay this weekend. The guitar is absolutely the nicest sounding and easiest to play OM that I have ever had my hands on. It is visually a stunner as well, with the houndstooth binding, Martinesque appointments and Waverly tuners, etc.

However, I am not exactly an OM expert or even an OM lover. My take is that it has a clarity that I have rarely heard from a spruce/rosewood combo and is ideal for finger-picking.

But, Matthew, here is my question: Why are there so many guitars coming out of Larrivée that are physically copies of Martins? I would hope to see guitars coming out of Martin that would be copies of Larrivées very soon!
