Quote from: mike in lytle on February 23, 2026, 01:08:33 PMMine should arrive tomorrow as well. It has been lingering at FedEx in Cypress, TX, which I think is about 10 minutes from Herman's house.
That's odd, they go 3 1/2 hrs past your place only to have to go right back?
I honestly  thought you'd get your guitar *before* I got mine, I guess *logic* doesn't apply when couriers are involved.
Hang in there Mike and all as you're gonna love these guitars, they ARE different.

On a side note I'm wondering what strings we each find *best* for our ears.

Since Rockysdad mentions strings, what will they be shipped with?

Different as in unique and special, or different sounding from a traditional Sitka top and will take some getting used to?

I believe Larrivee ships D'Addario XT 12-53.

The sound (to me) is different, in a good way. I have been primarily playing my Forum VI over the last while and the Forum VII is (to me) quite different.

Yep, different in a great way. The redwood makes me think of cedar with an attitude and an abundance of mojo. I'm mesmerized by this guitar.

Hi VII folks,
As you can see, the guitars were finished slightly ahead of schedule and are arriving now! Since I didn't have time to prepare the images on a flash drive and place them in the cases, I'll be sending the photos to everyone via WeTransfer instead. For anyone unfamiliar, WeTransfer makes it easy to send large files through email. You will simply receive a link in an email from Larrivée that you can download. I hope this will be even more convenient for everyone. Thanks for your understanding and enthusiasm! Also, thanks for all the kind words you have been sharing.

Also, regarding the flat-top cases, we've been running low on archtop cases while we switch suppliers. When we started the Forum VII project, there was no way to predict this supply challenge. The good news is that later this summer, we'll be receiving new case inventory from our overseas supplier. At that time, we'll gladly offer options to anyone who still wants an archtop case.

All the best - jr.

Best guitar company in the world. PERIOD.

You can wait one more day! If it was warmer I'd oblige your request. Mine got here in a freakish February heat wave so I only waited about 6 hours when the case was 70°. We'll be issuing you a lie-detector test tomorrow to see if you waited!

It is same inside as outside on this beautiful day. So no waiting.
The headstock and fingerboard dots are the same as any normal paddle head.
Haven't done much more than pick a few notes, it is rich.
The body is 4-5/8 deep at the heel.
It will need a few tweaks, different strings, nut slots, saddle adjust, but for now I am just going to leave it be so it can get used to the house environment which just now is 72 and 35% humidity, inside and outside.
I like it a lot and am glad I got the -01. I will put a passive Baggs M1 in it tomorrow.
