It's worth every minute of the wait. I went over 24 hours actually. Not by much, but still.  :bgrin:

Mind boggling! I'd be calling their customer service dept. with a few questions. All weather issues aside, that screenshot you shared of it's journey speaks volumes.

The screen shot was from another member. But here's something y'all may find funny:

I called FedEx this morning and said "Look, this package has been within an hours drive of me for 6 days and it's been 48 hours since my last status update...losing patience, where is it?"

The nice man did his keyboard magic for a couple minutes and then said, "it was delivered to the FedEx hold location you requested 2 days ago."

After spitting out my coffee and pulling out a couple chunks of hair, I jumped in my truck, drove 2.8 miles in a Tennessee snowstorm and was standing outside their door when they opened at 8am (8:06, but who's counting?). Stepped inside and there's my box right up front...warm and cozy where it had been since Monday. Less than 3 miles from my house.

So I will be unboxing her shortly...stepping into what will no doubt be the longest conference call of my life in a couple minutes. :roll

Your story is without a doubt, the best we have heard so far. And what is even better, it happened to the incredible Scott Southworth, who at one point, admitted he had got into the F-VI discussion thinking it would never happen, then when it happened had to tell his wife he bought another guitar. Then when the guitar arrives....

Nothing incredible about me...but this guitar is pretty freaking stunning!

Congrats Scott, another great looking Forum VI.

I can give you a tone report.
It sounds really really good!

As noted by others, the action is very high and relief excessive as delivered. Typical new Larrivee.
Finished up the setup work yesterday and today swapped the pickup to a Baggs M1.
The action is now about .016 at the low E first fret, and .060 at low E 12th fret. Relief minimal, maybe .007.
The truss rod was nearly neutral as delivered, took maybe 3/4 turn CW to adjust.
Easy to fret an F bar chord now. Very slick up the neck. No rattle or buzz.
Strings are 11-52 PB Curt Mangan. Ditched the pins, don't know what I have in there now, I think they are some kind of upper Mongolian ox horn or something.

Acoustically, the guitar sounds like a Larrivee. I think it has really good sustain, the basses ring out and everything is proportional. No mud. It definitely is not boring.
Play a chord, hold the soundhole to your ear and you can hear it growl.
The strings have been on long enough to lose some of the new string zinginess, which colors things at first. I have played the F-VI maybe 8 hours so far.
Awhile back, AZ said he though the F-III moonwood top may have limited the tone to more fundamental. When we saw the F-III bracing compared to the F-VI I wondered if the F-III bracing might have choked the top. Dunno. We have less wood glued to our tops. For that reason, I am very pleased with the hybrid bracing on our smaller bodied F-VI, as well as the moonwood top. The walnut is nice, can't tell what part of the sound it is responsible for.
With the LS body, 12 fret, hybrid bracing and MW top, we may have come up with a great guitar by accident.

Through an amp, the guitar is like from another planet. I like Pure Mini's but I also like good soundhole pickups cause they are so musical. I am going to rewire the Sunrise harness, cause that is the PU that will end up in there, I was using it until yesterday.

Holy cow! I should I say:great Scott!  :winkin: That is one good looking back! Congrats!

Absolutely stunning.  Particularly love the fretboard look with just the VI at the 12.

I think teh (Tom) gets credit for the Roman numeral idea, before that we were thinking of the the old 3 microdots.
Pretty sure it was Matt Larrivee who thought the dots on either side of the inlay would look good, which it really does.
