Nice guitar Mike. Love the back and sides.

1/4/22 Update: My guitar has been within 60 minutes of my house since Friday. Still not here, LOL! I know, I know...it was a holiday weekend and at least it's not stuck on a Virginia highway, right? Here's hoping for tomorrow...and looking forward to seeing MarkJ reveal sometime tomorrow!!

Cheers,

Congratulations! Beautiful box! Bet what's inside is much, much nicer though! Now you've made me want to listen to Thick As A Brick, which is always a nice thing to do!

Been listening to Thick as a Brick since it was released in 1972. It will be one of the first things I play on the Forum VI. :guitar

I definitely feel your pain! I still have 14+ hours to wait until I can open the box. The anticipation is just at insane levels here.

At least I will be sleeping for maybe half of that time.  :yawn

My wife pointed out to me that the highway was totally stopped between north of Richmond and D.C.
Not a good thing for those folks.

I'm seeing all these amazing forum VI's and I can't believe I was a few months too late to learn about this forum and order one and have my first Larrivee....   I'm still thrilled with my OM-40R that I just got, but I'm also dying to know when we can get some interest in creating a Forum VII??  :bgrin:

Congrats to all you forum VI owners, keep the pics and videos coming.   :nice guitar:

That was my point...there are real problems out there. A slow guitar delivery is not one of them.

I have the CD these days and listen to it when the Jethro Tull mood strikes. Thick As A Brick is probably my fav JT song.

I live just south of DC, my guitar spent the night somewhere north of me. But I've shoveled out an LZ for FedEx who is supposed to arrive today!

Very nice, enjoy.

I'm noticing there are big chunks missing on both those guitars.  :humour:

Can you take a picture of the nut area showing the string spacing up there?

Asked before but no 100% answer: what strings did John say were on these?

image of nut posted here...
Ok, just curious. Your high E offset is a little more than mine. I thought mine was offset like that, but it turned out the string was laying across the nut instead of in the slot.
Nothing wrong with it, just want to keep track of small variations between similar guitars.
Also had two .06 dia holes filled at the 3rd and 15th fret. We have heard that is normal.
Also noticed the bridge height on mine is the full .44, haven't had any previously higher than .38.
Also noticed the soundhole is 3.75, probably everyone knew that except me.

Man. You got a special label on your box that has your name on it. I didn't get a label like that.
I'm going to return the box to Larrivee, so there.
