Long-time acoustic player, brand-new Larrivee owner

My wife and I play out several times a week (pre-COVID19, that is) at the senior living centers around
We play guitar, hammer dulcimer, ukulele, mountain dulcimer, mandolin, banjo, and we both sing

I'm about to retire and we intend to make this our vocation for the rest of our lives

I bought a Taylor 310ce about five years ago at Elderly.  I chose it over a used Martin D18.
Recently, I decided that I wanted something new.  my LGS is run by a good friend who has worked on my 310 as well as my Taylor 456ce and my Guild D25
I played several guitars that he had including a Taylor 714, and a Santa Cruz, and decided on a 1994 Larrivee L09 Koa.  I like the quality of the sound.  It has less 'sparkle' than the Taylors and more secure bass

thanks for this forum, and, per the requirements:  :donut :donut2

Hi Glen. Pleased to meet you, thanks for the donuts and welcome aboard. An L-09 is a great guitar.  :donut :coffee :donut2

:donut :coffee :donut2  :coffee

The L-09 is THE Larrivee *Standard* - it's kinda like the D-28 of Larrivee-Land.

Love my old L-09 (and my much newer L-05!). The L-body is pretty versatile.

I have a couple pics, but they are too large according to the error message I get when I try to upload them
I'll need to modify them with an image processor

Hello Glen!  :wave
Welcome to the Larrivee forum.

The L-09 Is one very sweet guitar, to be sure.

And as Roger pointed out to me recently regarding my L-09, it's a 'lifer'. :humour:
I hope yours is too, Glen.

Sweet.......glad to have you on board Glen and congrats on a wonderful guitar. Thanks for the  :donut2  :+1:

Nice guitar(s). Not many of us here have wealth but almost all of us have great taste!   :cheers

At least, when it comes to guitars.
