"Mar-12
We are almost to the point which everyone has been waiting for. Anticipation is growing day by day, some being a little more patient than others. But who can help feeling like a little boy or girl two weeks before christmas. Knowing soon Mr. FedEx or UPS will be knocking on your door (not the chimney) with your brand new, very unique, Forum III guitars.
It's been a very exciting journey for all uf us involved and not so involved. The comments posted here have all been very possitive and a pleasure to read. We look forward to hearing more once you have had the opportunity to play your guitars and share your feedback.
All but a few restarts are completed and are waiting to be assembled. Ed knows not to put on any pickguards and each label will be hand numbered.
The ship date will be Monday, March 30th. This allows us two weeks to assemble the guitars and have any restart completed.
I will be adding more pictures to Facebook during this time, trying to get as many different serial numbers as possible to make it fare for everyone.

*My family is grateful to you all for your support and allowing us to do what we do best... make fine guitars."

That's a very nice statement form John.    It would seem that we should not expect to pick up our guitars at the tour next Monday from what read.    If they are scheduled for shipment on the 30th we are going to be there a couple of weeks too soon.   I guess we could at least see them in the last phase anyhow.

Okay...I went to that porn shop you call the FIII photo section; all of that naked wood, oh my!  They look so good.   :thumbsup  Guitars are just such uniquely beautiful pieces of art that affect all of the senses.  A good day is coming soon for many of you.
...and now I have NON-buyer's remorse!!   :nice guitar:

That includes machine heads...

Does anybody know what machineheads will be used on our FIIIs?

I presume that the ship date to direct order people in Canada will be on the 30th with the US shipment sent to Trinity on that same day so he can do the setups, bone saddles and strap pins?  Would that take 2-3 weeks? Dont mean to sound like a little kid saying "are we there yet" just starting to get itchy fingers as the anticipation builds and wondering when those of us in the US will get our new gits.

Wow...I knew there was a benefit to being Canadian other than high taxes, cold weather and Poutine...

The guitars will ship on the 30th and the happy Canucks will be playing tunes on their Forum III guitars on...April Fools day...if all goes according to plan

Come on Jordan,

You need to do something crazy like order a Rickenbacker. This is month 6 for me. Two weeks is a breeze! :roll

Did you read that here ?  I don't remember hearing about the Schaller tuners on this guitar.  I do remember hearing that they were going to be converting to those at some future time though.

There was a post that said Larrivee were now using Schallers on all new guitars, I can't find it now though.  Someone had been emailed the comment direct from larrivee if I recall correctly.

I would not count on Schaller tuners, if the Forum guitars have them then that is a plus.  I wouldn't set myself up for disappointment though.

We should know soon. I expect we'll see pictures of guitars having tuners installed soon. Maybe today, certainly by Monday.

I went to the factory today, met John Jr. saw my git and Tuffy's. I am not saying much more, but I will say I REALLY like my guitar (and Tuffy's) Edwin offered to give my wife and I a tour but I said that I didn't want to be in the way and just wanted to see my guitar. It is sooooooooooo nice.
I saw many other things but I won't say anymore because it is not my place to say them. These are very nice guitars.
Something inside me just unwound when I held that little git and I felt at ease.

Those of us who cant be in Vancouver Monday wouldnt mind a "spoiler" story.  Please, please..throw us a crumb.  How did it smell, how did it feel, was it assembled yet?

It smelled, felt and looked liked the sweetest little git I have ever owned. Which Edwin pointed out to me ie. that it was mine.
(The tuners will be pings, I asked about that)
