Oh, the gas is killing me! I have a Webber on order, due in 1-2 months, but this jumbo looks too sweet--and that price is killer! No affiliation, but someone put me out of my misery.

Nice. Always wanted to try his "Jumbo Shrimp". But resale on Webbers is so atrocious (don't ask me why) that I've always hesitated. The Webber OM i used to own was my biggest money lost on a guitar sale despite being a pretty good guitar. But if it stays near the opening that one will be a nice deal.

Great, now I have gas.

A really great buy for someone.  What other guitars does it compare with, sound and tone?  Can anyone offer an experienced opinion?

I've owed 6 Webbers and currently own 3 of those 6.  They're great guitars.  Although Larrivees are the best value/performance guitars in the apprx. $800 to $1,500 price range (along with just a few others of the hundreds availabe), once you get into the upper teens and over $2k range (new, street price), Webbers are simply the best bang for the buck, value/performance guitars made (although there are a few here and there from other makers that would be so too - e.g., Santa Cruz OM-PW).

Sonically, they are more similar to Larrivee than many other brands, but still rather distinct.

Whether they are "better" than Larrivees is subject to debate.  I think so, but that's just me.  Being a small builder, most folks ahven't plyed a Webber, let alone several (David has about 7 body styles and dozens of wood combinations).

$1,150 was the selling price.  Not bad, I think.
Play it daily for best results.

Not bad? More like a screamin' deal.

Somebody got a really great guitar for not a lot of cash. Wish I'd seen this sooner!
