I'm a Strat guy myself.  Got 2 of em.  Both are franken-Strats, built out of parts I've fallen in love with over the years and  decked out with Carvin electronics....talk about hot pickups!  I usually cheez mine up with pearloid pickguards as well.

How bout you guys?

I play a Les Paul with a Mapel Quilt top. P-90 at the neck and a humbucker at the bridge. Just like our old friend Neil Young. Now I just need a decient amp to do it justice.....

Seldom, a 1974 Gibson L6S.

FREQUENT: a Rick Turner Rennaissance Baritone steel string, though it's like electric and kinda like acoustic, and is a very cool - fun to play fingerstyle instrument.
Don't take no wooden nickles, and don't put beans in your ears.

Ernie Ball Musicman Axis Super Sport and Silhouette Special. I love these guitars EBMM makes the best necks hands down IMHO.

I would love to have an Ernie Ball gutiar....esp. one of those old EVH models before he switched to Peavy. And you're right about the necks....great.

Two of the best Strats on the planet!  I was very lucky to get while the getting was good many years ago.   :P

I'm in the process of building a beater Fiesta Red Strat for day to day playing. B)

Since I only play electric about once every month or so, I've sold my nice electrics.  Only one I have now is a Peavey Firenza with P90s.  It's actually pretty good.

Zach

SCR378,

How do you like the Nashville Tele?  I've been looking at those recently.

Love the sound of P-90's, almost like a Strat on steriods! :o

QuoteFiesta Red Strat
That's the color of my fav. Strat.  I was black, but I bought the Fiesta Red body from Warmoth......it wasn't cheap, but I just love the color.  Very unique....not something you see all the time at all.   Depending on the light in the room, the color changes a bit too.  When I play at my church, under the stage lights, people always ask me, "why did you buy a PINK gutiar???"  I just laugh... Now the joke is, "riiiiight, it's 'Fiesta Red'".  Looks just like my grandmother's old Fiesta dishes.....I guess that's where they got the name for the color.  Sort of like Mary Kay white on the ash body.  Mary Kay's last name was Ash BTW.....sort of funny.

Love Fiesta Red, sorta looks orange too!  You don't see too many of them around.  I got a pretty good deal on a Fender Japanese '62 reissue body.  Very light and they got the shapes right!

Warmoth does great work, I had one of their necks many years ago.

I'm sure I'll here the "riiight, it's "Fiesta Red" too!

Getting a custom neck patterned after my '65 L neck.
