I'm new to the Larrivee brand but I picked up a beautiful guitar at a little shop in Cleveland, Tennessee. I'm trying to understand more about what I have and was hoping with all the knowledge on this site I  could learn more. Oh yeah and I absolutely love the guitar and can't put it down.

Here's a link to the demo video from the shop where I bought it

Congrats, and welcome! You have managed to get an amazing guitar! The top wood is sinker redwood from California, and a quick google search will tell you the story of that amazing wood. As for the rest of the guitar, it's a standard 00-03 sizes Larrivee with mahogany back and sides. Specs can be found on the Larrivee website. What details are you looking for?  :nice guitar:

There's been a lot of discussion about guitars like yours in the past few months. In fact, members here choose a flamed Redwood guitar to be the new special run of forum guitars. Larrivee acquired a small stock of these flamed redwood tops not long ago and I belive they may have exhaust that supply with the recent forum run.

If you search "Redwood" on the forum you'll see a lot of posts. Many of them are me championing for Redwood as I personally think it's the finest wood for an acoustic guitar. Great to hear you're loving yours and welcome to the forum! If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask!

Am sure someone will weigh in soon on the technical bits, but just here to say that is one dazzling top made more magnificent by the fretboard bling. Yikes, gorgeous and a great choice for it to have a gloss top. I'd have to budget for an additional 5 minutes to simply admire the top every time I picked it up to play. I had that fretboard bling once on a LSV I had and it's pretty glorious.

A quick search get's me "cedar on steroids" which indicates it's on the warm side of the spectrum which is a great choice for a small bodied guitar which can lean bright.

Best of luck with it!  :nana_guitar  :nana_guitar  :nana_guitar
