I know a couple guys who started playing slide guitar due to problems with their hands.
I think it's a good solid 30 day regimen to get over the hump.

I used to watch Toby Walker back when I owned Waterloo instruments. It looked like he had all the models but usually played the big guitars. Then he developed hand problems and stopped posting. As I remember, he always said in the classical guitar sitting position.
