I almost never use a capo on an electric or when I'm playing with others. I can play in any key and transpose nearly instantaneously. However, if I'm playing "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright" solo, I play it with C G F Am shaped chords but sing it in EB capo 3. There are several other songs that I do that way involving fingerstyle since I like to play in C but not necessarily sing in C.
