WTB Larrivee L-03BW Australian Blackwood Serial #67421 - Gift from Mom

This is a shot in the dark I know.

First, the background: My Mom purchased this guitar for me in 2007-2008 before I graduated from college.  She bought it from a vintage guitar shop in Tallahassee, FL.  We went there together and I played several guitars.  This one was by far the best sounding and feeling. 

Fast forward to 2013.  I had moved to Austin, TX and money was tight.  I placed the guitar on consignment at Cash America Pawn for about $700 with the intention to get it back.  I never did.

Cash America Pawn on S. Lamar closed and the inventory was absorbed at the Cash America Pawn on Ben White.  I called on a whim.  No Larrivee's in stock.  No surprise, musical instruments move lightning fast in Austin and it's been 10 years.

My Mom passed away unexpectedly in January of 2023.  I had told her years back that I parted with the Larrivee, but still she asked about it a couple of months before she died, "remember that guitar I bought you for graduation, what happened to it?"  I know she understood that I did what I needed to do at the time, but over the years I've thought about this guitar frequently, and now, the urge to find it is ever present.

I know this is a long-shot and certainly my choice to pawn it was due to life circumstances I created.  I understand all that.  I'm also aware that this model has become extremely rare. 

If there's anyone that can help, it would mean more than I can put into words.

Larrivee L-03BW Serial #67421.  The Australian Blackwood model. Sings like a bell. Has a small ding on the top, I forget exactly where.  I have pictures on my old laptop in another state - I'll update this post when I can access.

There are several guitar shops in Austin and it's possible someone may have had this one come through.  Have you tried contacting any of them?  Best of luck with this.  The one that got away is a tough deal.  Hope you find it.

Try an ad on Craigslist or Facebook (maybe the Larrivée group), you never know it might just pan out.
