Anyone have a photo of the label inside the guitar?  I was wondering if it was signed by one or more of the Larrivee family.

Hey Riverbend. Beautiful guitar you got there! I especially like the streaked fretboard... it looks so natural. Enjoy!
According to FedEx mine should arrive tomorrow. I'm soooooo excited!

NGD, it's here and it's wonderful

Thanks! I noticed that purdy streak and like it, as well. I think we'll all have certain details that will make our guitars unique and special to us. Each of the few we've seen at this point are exceptionally beautiful! Mine is on track for delivery tomorrow afternoon.

Nice guitar there Herman. The looks of the back has mine beat. It's mesmerizing.

It does seem that pick guards are being installed thus far.

I've wondered about pick guards, too. Some photos I've seen have them, others not. Is this the first thing folks are doing before they hit a single strum?
Remember when the music came from wooden boxes strung with silver wires...

Mine arrived with the pick guard installed.

The loose pick guard was a spec item, in that if one or two us didn't want it, then they would all be shipped loose.
It just seems at the final setup, they are being installed. I like the look, but Mikey won't.
I sent an email to John about it over the weekend, but I have not heard from him about it.

I really hope that mine doesn't come with the pick guard installed. Might be an excuse to at least peek in the case tomorrow.

This is certainly getting exciting.  Will be even more so once I know mine is on the way.  Hoping the pick guard isn't attached on mine but no biggie if it is.

So, a couple of questions about details on the guitar.  I've tried searching and wading through the other threads about this VI but there's just too many posts.  This has likely been noted someplace but what specifically are the tuners, the saddle, the nut and bridge pins?  I'm guessing the specs on the Larrivee site pertaining to the OM or the OO apply but I don't recall reading those details in our threads.

Part of the reason I'm asking is if the tuners are 'Larrivee' stock items, I might consider getting different buttons and if I do, I'd like to do that when mine gets shipped [if possible].

Thanks
Ralph

There wasn't any temperature worries, I tracked the entire shipping process, all along I-10.
I waited when I got it for a few hours, checked with a temp gun upon receipt and while it sat, hardly changed. Opened the box and checked again no change, had there been an issue with temps I would have waited longer.

Tuners, saddle, nut, bridge pins are all standard -03 spec, and yes, it is on the Larrivee site.
I honestly seriously doubt Larrivee will change the tuner buttons for you at this point, but never can tell if you ask.
Pretty sure I will change mine out later as well.

Beautiful guitar Rockysdad! Mine is "Scheduled for delivery" tomorrow but last update was today and it was still in Hesperia CA. I think it might be delayed a day or two.

Thanks.  Wasn't going to ask them to change them, I was going to order the different tuners to have shipped with the guitar so I didn't have to have a second delivery.  Was just thinking that the black tuners would look good with the black fretboard.  So, as long as I know the standard tuners can be switched out, when John phones for payment, I'll ask if I can order the tuners to be shipped in the case.

Ditto that ... I definitely don't want the pick guard installed on mine. I took one off a satin finished Larrivee once, and it pulled up a piece of finish the size of a nickel with it.

Ouch! I want to remove the pickguard on my OO-40. I don't like the way it was installed. It covers the abalone rosette. I was told the safest method to remove it would be to try to get and use very small amounts of Naptha under the pickguard to dissolve the glue but leave the finish unharmed. I'm pretty sure the Naptha will evaporate very quickly and leave no residue behind. The very point of the pickguard is loose so getting naptha under it will not be an issue. I will probably just use a cotton swap with a drop or two on it to gently work my way through it.

I haven't had the time or the courage to do it yet.

The label is very cool.  It's the same as the 30th Anniversary and Vancouver, British Columbia labels.

Ok, latest email from John... no pickguards moving forward, they have it sorted out.
Of the guitars not shipped last week, but completed, John will find out. If my eyes were correct, that "might" have been Scott's guitar and mine, plus maybe the three that are on the "extras" list.
John made reference to the "shutdown". I do hope that means Larrivee is giving their employees time off, and we should all be happy about that.
