All,
John just asked me to pass along the following info....

Guitars are brand new fresh out of final assembly when shipped. They will naturally shift during the first few days, accompanied by movement from shipping, plus extreme weather changes along the way this time of year. Expect that you will require a fresh setup once the new guitar adjusts to all these actions/changes after leaving the factory.  Let your guitars settle for 24 hours before opening the box. No exceptions, just to be sure. Inspect your guitar when it arrives.  Register your guitar and enjoy. Guitars were setup with D'Addario EXO16 12-53's. Switching to 13-56's for maximum tone is not an issue. A slight tweak of the rod may be necessary. Post photos!

John will be entering the serial numbers of our guitars into the online website lookup when they are shipped, at his earliest opportunity.
The 5 that shipped yesterday are listed. One of us who had the guitar shipped yesterday has not yet reported to the forum.
Lou's guitar "would" have been the 6th shipped, but for the pickup installation not completed (as Lou noted).

I got the call yesterday, too!!!      I am seriously excited! Gonna be real hard not opening the case for a day.

I kind of figured it was you we didn't hear from yesterday. It was like, I looked thru the online serial numbers that had been added and one of them was yours.
Anyhow, leaving a guitar in a box is tough, but I am pretty sure when mine arrives it will be 72 degrees and 45 percent humidity outside, and inside too, so ain't no way on this green earth my F-VI is gonna linger in a box for 24 hours. Maybe 10 minutes. Maybe 1 minute. The action will be too high, and the strings too fat, but I am gonna play it because I know it will sound different after a day or so, cause I have been there before, and hardly anyone gets to play a guitar as fresh as these.
No, I have not got the call.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I think Bard will see his axe tomorrow, which is fitting.
I am excited, but to be honest I would rather get my guitar last, knowing everyone got theirs and is happy.
Besides, I am still babysitting the waiting list, which is still changing. John (jwdecour) is still first.

Hoping Bard does, in fact, get his today and can give us his personal review when he's able to open his box and get his hands on it! I'm also curious as to how the waiting list is changing. Have some that were on it and in position dropped out?
