Not me, but the L-10. Well both of us I guess. On 34th year of service. Neck still good as can be. Low action and as much saddle as it ever had. And yea we're having fun. we'll have done at least 70 gigs this year. 50 a year for previous 3 years. We went from coast over to Hickory in Western part of NC this weekend. After dodging tornado's it ended up being beautiful for Friday and Saturday out door show.  Angie's mom got up and id one with us. Mark is playing a wonderful Mandolin that he made. I've got one of his as well. Anyway still at it and still having fun.

To play or not to play; that is the (stupid) question.

Although I must say, the small gig I do with my partner still makes me uncomfortable.

I guess I was referring to playing, in general, and not necessarily gigging. One's generally a pleasure and the other often a pain, it's true.  :beer

Bob. I'm on the coast about 4 hours from Winston. If you'd have any inkling to come to the coast let me know. Where we played last weekend wasn't awfully far from Winston but...
We are playing an extremely cool gig on July 11th that is inside an old Fort out on Bogue Banks. Serious history from early 1800's and civil war. We play in the middle of Fort in lawn and people are up on the walls as well.
Yes Duck, there is no choice. It's who and what  we are.  I do enjoy playing out still though. Lucky..all the venues we play at treat us great. Feed us, a few beers, respect in general and the folks that come to hear us are great. Yes I've seen the dark side, but good folks here. Playing out live does a couple things. It forces you too work songs out well and you get that energy back from crowd.
Bob, here's a pic from previous year at Fort Macon.

Haven't seen much about your L10 but it must be an amazing Larrivee! Thanks for posting those great pics. :nana_guitar

PRS semi hollow electric

Well Abalone, it has been amazing guitar. Amazing from the first time I strummed it and amazing how it has stood up to time while having the crap played out of it.
it's been banged up a little and has a couple repaired cracks.  (which happened coincidentally or not after I quit my annual fall oiling of guitar after reading how that wasn't good, I've since resumed with no additional cracks) But anyway it has been heart and soul and all the  things about balance and response of Larrivee's and I'd say particularly L's. ring true.  Very versatile.  Here's a pic of it (and me) 30+ plus years ago.

Your comment on the neck's stability caught my attention.  My L-07 is a couple of years younger than yours, but I'm pretty sure they would have the same non-adjustable truss rod in them.  Like yours, mine has also been incredibly stable after all these years and in spite of me abusing it in the humidity department until I finally smartened up in the last few years.  It has developed a slight permanent upbow in it.  A couple of years ago, I slightly shaved the bridge and lowered the saddle and all is well since then.

Still shooting for stardom after all this time.
If I never make it, I'll still be fine.

That's correct. Held up like that with non-adjustable truss rod.  When I bought mine and asked about that they said that neck would be fine and Larrivee's take was that people would just mess it up playing with it. I remember when they started making them adjustable. It was part of their "You spoke and we listened" campaign. Early 90's I think.

My '75 L-11 (as we have recently determined), which went to Oxnard for a total refurbishment several years back, is currently in St. Paul being repaired by the great Martin Reynolds, formerly of The Podium. I pick it up next week. Top crack reopened but should be as good as new. The guitar looks virtually brand new and the neck, like Flatlander's and L07's is solid as a rock without an adjustable truss rod. Wonderful guitar.   :thumbsup
