This has got to be the most bang for the buck that I've ever got when buying an acoustic guitar.

Cute little bugger....

Here it is with big brother...

1 3/4" nut....great little fingerstyle guitar.  It's louder than I remember my old satin spruce/hog parlor from years ago.  It has a really pretty tone.

The P-03 arrived in a perfect triple wall guitar box with a great set up and fresh strings....everything was great.

Dave Schmidt is a good guy.  I had a great experience buying from Guitar Adoptions.

The wood and build quality on my two Larrivee guitars are exceptional.  I'm thrilled.

Cool beans!

I just noticed: it doesn't look like there's an end pin. Does that mean you can only sit down to play or use a classical strap? Even my 00-sp has an end pin.

Doesn't really matter; it's still beautiful.

Is this limited to just Guitar Adoptions? I see it has an Italian Spruce top, very cool. Can you compare it with the glossy models?

No, not just Guitar Adoptions.  Jim at Trinity Guitars has them as well...I've played both one of these and a P-05 which would be the glossy equivalent except with a sitka top...both are amazing guitars but these satin finish guitars are being sold for very little money!

Also, I'm not sure how you can tell from the pictures, but they are being made in both italian spruce as well as sitka spruce, and are not being differentiated in any way - not even by serial number. Visually, they are almost impossible to tell apart - 90% of the time its really a guess. Tonewise, you would also be hard-pressed to tell any difference -

These are great. Mine doesn't have an end pin either. Nice touch and feel of a 19th century parlor.

I look forward to adding a Parlor Guitar to my collection one day as They bring  unique voice to the table. I noticed that Taylor is building limited edition 35th anniversary Parlor guitars. Perhaps a new day is dawning for these old school guitars.

Play it hard for a few years and it will really open up.  My Parlor took about four years to open up - probably due to the rather stout construction compared with a lot of other brands.
Larrivée Limited Edition Rosewood Parlor (2003)
plus various other acoustic guitars and one ukulele

If i did not have my madrose special edition one of these would be on the way to me right now.

LA Guitar Sales (www.laguitarsales.com) also had a few, one sold on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230372198158

Ted told me he is getting a few P03's in rosewood in this month  :nanadance should be cool.

There is info in another thread here that they only made 50 of the P-03's.

I knew they were a limited run but I assumed that "limited" meant hundreds.

Guitar Adoptions had several of them in stock.  Could they really have made only 50?

How does one verify this stuff??   :?

Thanks,

John

John, larrivee could do another limited run of these at any time, there is already a rosewood run scheduled so I would not even venture to guess what the numbers will be. Consider this, business is pretty bad in this world, by going to the 03 series even larrivee, a very decently priced guitar will bring in more buyers, so I would expect a bunch more, maybe in different woods with the satin finish.

I coulda sworn Matthew said they were doing a few hundred of them - may have been his feeling, as he and his dad had been working on them non-stop, and there were shelves full of them in various stages of completion. It could also be that I only saw mahogany, so maybe after they ran some in rosewood they would be a few hundred total. I really think there are more than fifty - I think I saw one shelf unit with more than fifty bodies on it by itself, and there were a couple of those - but I won't swear to it -

I heard the rosewood parlors are coming. Very tempting.
