I finally made it home after my guitar had 4 days to warm up while I was out of Town.

Here are some quick photos I did this afternoon.  I love the sound, but more on that later.

Jim Did a fantastic job setting this up, and it plays so smooth and easily.  Thank you , Jim

Beautifully staged, and well-executed shots of a gorgeous guitar.   Thanks for posting them.  Are we looking at a future GOTM here ??      Matt you are going to have to share your secret of how to post several apparently high res. photos in a single post without exceeding the permitted file size ?  With a maximum  200kb per shot and 400kb total file size permitted how do you get such high-quality detailed shots all in one post ?    Ummmm..   don't tell the others;  just pm me.  :bgrin:

I think he used the {img} BBS code. The pictures are stored on an external host site. Photomat has his own, as do I, but folks like Danny and Ben use free services to host their pics. To let this go through without parsing I used curly brackets, {}. the real codes use square brackets [].

The {img} tag allows you to embed images within your posts.

Pretty nice guitar but I think your photos are a bit blurry... :humour:


Your photos are so nice I barely cared that there was an extremely nice guitar in the picture.   Grats on the new guitar.

Norman, thanks for the info. on posting pictures using an external storage site.    I do have an account at Phototbucket so I could use that.  That's what I have to do when posting pics over at the Leftyfrets forum so I should be able to figure out how to do it here.

Matt,

You have one beautiful guitar. Even if you only have to look at it, it's a keeper. I bet it's got an incredible voice too, which is in the F III's DNA.

Wow, that was a lot of posts since I put these up.  Lets see if I can reply to all here.

Ben and Tuffy and others, thanks for the kudos on the photos.  That is what I do for a living, and I finally got away from the computer to shoot some photos today.  The lighting and weather have been great here in the Seattle area.

Denis, Yep I think our tops were cut pretty close to each other.  Our backs were not, that is for sure.  The sound is really unique, and it will take me a while to play it before i review it.  Love the size and the look, but most importantly the sound.  I will have to look you up next time we go visit my wife's relatives in Ottawa..  I spent a ton of time  in the woods around the Gatineau when I lived there in the early 80's.  I can't wait to hear your playing on these guitars!.

Ricky, It is more than a looker, but I like to photograph all my guitars.  The voice is really different than the Taylor GS (as you know)  ...I need to compare this to my Taylor 30th Koa/Engleman GC, as they are the closest in specs, but this FIII sure seems to have a very different tone and feel.)

Randy, My wife does all the yard work (except mowing and fertilizing...thats me) at our photography studio. She came in today and said...Looks like a new guitar coming up with the flowers.....should I weed the Guitar patch for you?  (not really, she loves the guitars)

Tuffy, Gee Norm is right, I use me.com (apple .mac or internet based storage and web stuff) to host my personal photos and you can easily link from that server with link just like Norm said.

The Ctrain...yep I know...I will work on that sharpness thing.  I did lose my glasses the other day and for an hour I thought I would have to look through my camera lens all weekend!

You will really have to play this guitar.  I am sure you will like your OM3R as it seems fuller and has more bass, but the voice on this seems so unique, and it is still loud like you heard on the tour. I called Jim to thank him for the fantastic set up.  I was able to play my guitar at the factory with the factory set up, and this thing just flies for fingerstyle since he set it up.  He also installed the iBeam active, so I will give that a run this week.

StrawintoGold, The camera was just a meager Canon Rebel XT I cary in my car.  No flash or anything, but a real nice long and sharp 2.8 lens really helps separate the guitar from the background.

Thanks Jordan for the compliments on the photos. I appreciate them.  I really enjoy looking at everyone's photos.  So far each guitar is so unique!
