Sorry too, I am not usually one for being confrontational.  I shouldn't say 'out of line'.   :cheers agree to disagree :cheers

I do, however, feel your pain about seeing your guitar the wrong way around, that must have been a pain on the day.

And let me clear as to my feelings on this.  I didn't travel all the way to Vancouver at my own expense so that I could look at my guitar and then let it be packed up and shipped to New York for a brief stay and then packed up and shipped to California.   As long as it was "finished" and had the factory set-up
done I intended to take it with me.  I suppose, somewhere along the line the cost that would have gone to ship mine from New York was saved by my choice to take mine home with me..  I'm not complaining about that.  As far as the bone saddle is concerned they aren't super-expensive so I can easily get one on my own and fit it like I've done on my other guitars.  I wasn't asking for anything that hadn't already been offered.  And I did get a hat, even if it turned out to be Danny's.  :bgrin:

How many on the list of available guitars are lefty's??  As was pointed out, I know of one left handed RW/IS with purfling extra was built for sure.  Any other LH ones out there?

Hello,

I offered to post this on behalf of Jim Holler. It was mentioned to those of us present in Vancouver that there were some extra guitars that were being made. Exactly how many and which wood combinations were not known at the time. Jim received the following list from John Larrivee last night.

Anybody who is interested should contact Jim either via telephone or email as soon as possible as these are being sold on a first come first serve basis. Jim will require a deposit from you now, as was the case with the original orders with the remainder to be paid before shipping. Please note that direct shipping to Canada is still an option if you are a Canadian and wish for this. Also, for any Canadians interested in a Forum III, GST must be paid directly to Larrivee Guitars before shipping. Jim can provide details on who to contact there.

Without further adieu, here is the list:

1 mh - mahogany top & herringbone purfling  LS03MTHB

3 mh - italian spruce top  LS03

3 mh - italian spruce top & herringbone purfling LS03 HB
   2 sold
   1 left

2 rw - italian spruce top & herring bone purfling LS03RHB

1 rw - italian spruce top LS03R

Jim is currently unsure as to when these will ship, but expects this to happen after the 78 original orders have shipped.

Damn.....I just knew this would happen ......  I want one :crying:  Honey..........!!!!!  :guitar
Taylor 310CE, Eastman E10D, Blueridge BR-160, Eastman T486

I wonder...  if.. hog->IS switch is possible...  :whistling:

but then I think I should stick with stick with hog... because.. my J45(sitka/hog) is amazing... :)

I don't know about "out of line" but I do believe that this should be done between the dealer and the buyer if there is a problem.
We have kept this a positive experience to this point and to make a small item loom larger in public is just not my cup of tea.
I will personally make bone saddles and send them to anyone who was there and wants one if it makes you feel better.

There are more available, why stop with two.

I smell BACON....
Three Larries and a Guild and an A&L...and electrics...and a mando

Lynda,

If you find a treasure of great value, as the Forum Guitar seems to be, I suppose you should do exactly what you did ... GO FOR IT!

There was a certain unassigned LS-03R that caught my eye in John Larrivee's photos. Jim had better not tell me that it is one of the available spares!!

Come on Ron. You didn't jump on the bandwagon before. Now is your second chance and that chance is limited. Yes, I'm enabling you. :cheers

resistance is futile Ron!!!!

I cannot wait to get that email from Denika saying "your guitar has shipped and here's your tracking number"

If I had the dough, I would love to get either an all hog or a RW/IS but you know, I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with my MH/IS.  Once it arrives, I get the impression that the L and OO may not see the light of day for a little while!

Now, someone post some more pictures so I can get even more excited!!!

They have already used A and B I think. Or it may just say Forum III

And the numbers were not printed on, John hand wrote them like this 1/78 etc.

I believe the label will be the same Forum III label (not sure if it's gonna be signed, as this wasn't spoken about), but the guitars will not be numbered. The original Forum III order will be 1-78 and these will be unnumbered.

PS Would be happy to enable anybody into one of these amazing guitars if you would like. :humour:
