Went to see Don Ross and Andy McKee last Wednesday at a club in Seattle and was excited to see Don Ross walk out on stage holding a Larrivee!  Turns out they had just arrived from some shows in Hawaii and his 6 string hadn't shown up yet so he went into the Guitar Emporium where owner Robb Eagle lent him his old C-05.  Sounded fantastic considering it probably had completely different electronics than Don uses.  He did a fair amount of percussive stuff on it.

Wow, what musicians.  Andy played a few tunes on his harp guitar.  Don also had a fan fret baritone guitar from Beneteau.  It looked wild!  I highly recommend you catch one of their shows if you enjoy either of these players.  Fantastic show!  They colaborated on a lot of tunes and took turns playing on their own.  Wish I had been able to get a picture of him with the C-05.

Their both sensational players ( especially Don Ross ) they know what they like when the chips are down - a very smart man .

I am a big fan of both.  I was turned on to Andy McKee through the Candyrat label that he is signed to.  If anyone has a chance, check out the site candyrat.com.  There are some amazing artists to be heard.

Good for them! Personally, I'm glad to see fellow Canadians supporting some of their own very fine luthiers. Don's music isn't quite my cup of tea but the guy can flat out play. When someone of that stature chooses a Larrivée it means way more than if ol' ducktrapper praises them on a guitar forum.
