just monitoring the guitar price over few years, i just feel like used guitars prices are going down..

i think used guitar price dropped a lot especially taylor and martin(except the old ones..).

Collings, Goodall, Santa Cruz prices are still steady to go up...sometimes i see these guitar's used prices are closed to getting a new one..

I think there are too many taylor guitars out there which will drop the price of the guitar (unless it's really special ones  brazilian or koa guitar.)..

Larrivee guitar's price is down a little bit as well...

well, it's all good for buyers i think..I love old larrivees (good news for me..)

just a thought

It's an incredibly competitive market these days!  With the click of a mouse, a person can have literally anything they want for a reasonable price. I am seeing great guitars go unsold in Forums because folks are snatching them up on eBay for a song.  The prices are so low that many of us are buying and selling at a rate faster than previous years.

There's a seasonal downturn in the price of everything on eBay at this time of year.   April 15th is right around the corner.  Lots of folks have big tax bills to pay.

I thought half and half.......some people get return and get some big bucks to spend..:)

A buddy of mine listed his guitar for half of what he paid for it, two years old and excellent condition. He actually got flames and complaint messages from people on e-Bay wanting to know when he was going to come down in price.

True enough in theory - but most folks expecting refunds file early and have already spent the $$ by now.  Conversely, most folks who owe (Like me) wait until April to send in their money.  Consequently,we're in what is generally a slow sales period.
