Horses are great. I get the urge to buy a few acres and stable a horse, but I know how much work it is to keep them up.

Thanks, Orsino! I didn't want to send the one with me in it, but it was the only closeup we had.

Awe, lil Miracle Max is such a cutie pie...Looks like Mom and Son got a lot of open space to run and grow.  i just happened to talk to a coworker about her horse today and she pays $200 a month in food and another $150 a month to stable her horse.  That doesn't include all the vet bills and such.  i've wanted to have my own horse but the costs are a little too much to support over the long haul so i get satisfaction seeing other peoples horses...

We live in town. They stay with some friends out in the country. We're very blessed to have such gracious friends! It's beautiful out there, with lots of room, and grass, and such. We buy their food, and vet bills. They won't let us pay a boarding fee, so we also help keep all the stalls clean (they have 2 big geldings). Otherwise, we would have to keep them in a rented stall at the fairgrounds, which is no place for a growing horse.

I live in Lexington, KY.  Some serious horse country here.  I think they're great.  Nice pics!

THose are some beautiful horses!!!!  You did good Deb, you did good!!!

The little guy has some awesome markings, Deb.
He is going to be something!  My wife has the same deal with her Angel (Appy.), she does the stalls for an older woman and we get board and pasture--the only way we could afford it.  If somebody would pick up my teaching contract, I'd be in the Montana mountains in a minute!

Ours, too. I might have to get the DVD, our VHS copy is pretty worn out.
