New saddle for L-03, Bone or Tusq?

What is the best saddle for a L-03 bone or tusq? If i get bone what is some differences (or lack off) in tone i can expect?

I don't have experience with Tusq-to-bone in a mahogany-backed guitar, but when I switched out my rosewood-backed Larrivee, I noted improvement in volume and sustain.  I have heard people describe noting better note/string separation, but I'm not convinced that this occurred in my case.  Hope this helps.

With the bone you should have more sustain, maybe more overtones, and the strings should sound thicker or fatter (if that makes sense). The L-03 is the guitar I've had the best results in switching the tusq to bone. Get one from Colosi at guitarsaddles.com . The last two Larrivee bone saddles I got had too flat a radius.

Bone doesn't cost much more so I'd go for it. I went from Tusk to Bone on my Taylor and noticed improved clarity and sustain. On my Larrivee I went from cheap plastic to Fossilized Walrus Ivory, and the change was dramatic. However the FWI saddle I tried on my Taylor sounded terrible. It really depends on the guitar, but in my opinion bone will sound better than Tusk in most cases.

The bone saddle in my LV-03 produced more sustain, seems like clearer sound, better note definition, if that makes sense. It just plain sounded better, for longer. And another vote for Bob Colosi saddles. That's where mine came from as well as saddles for my brother's two Taylors.
