I just wanted to know what everyone thought of Mayes guitars by John Mayes.  He really knows his stuff and he even likes Larrivee's!

Personally, I think his guitars are AWESOME but just way out of my price range...although he's the ONLY luthier I know that does a payment plan.  Check him out.

nice guitars....waaay outta my $ range as well.  Seems like a nice guy too.  He hangs out at the TGF quite a bit.  I noticed the guys in Jars of Clay are playing his guitars some now....and Steven Curtis Chapman.  That speaks volumes IMO.

I like his guitars, as well, but they are out of my range. I've talked with him before, and he is a really nice guy. His payment plan is unique.
