I have used the Hercules hanger for over two years now.  Great hanger and NO finish problems on any of my guitars.

Ultimate or Hercules gave you the problem Randy?

Sorry - its an Ultimate. I still have it (with a bra on it).

I'll edit my too-fast prior post.

Hi Pastor.  I too hang all of my guitars in my humidified room using the String Swings.  I used to keep them in their cases, but found I was only playing the ones that were within easy reach.  Now, all get their turn.

I also had the same concerns of the guitar backs hitting the wall.  My solution was to purchase 1"x 6" boards (cut to the desired length), painted  them to match the wall(s) and screwed them into the wall studs.  This way I could place the hangers in any position on the board without having to worry about the guitars falling due to weight.  The board also extends the clearance of the guitars from the wall by about 2 to 3 inches.  Hope this helps.

Ratishna, I appreciate the suggestion about putting cotton cloth 'socks' around the contact points on the Swing String.  Definitely better to be safe than sorry.
