I went to a pub last night with my wife and friends.
There was a jazz trio playing
All three of them were in there early twenties.
The age group seemed unusual for a jazz group.
The guitarist was playing a Gibson 175. Running through a peavy tweed amp. This kid had some good chops and was very smooth. Keyboard and drums made up the rest.
I went to talk to them on their break.
Turns out the guitarist is going to audition at the Humber College school of music Jazz department
next week. It is a very difficult course to get into because there is lots of competition. I bet this kid makes it in. The group was a real pleasure to listen too.
The burger and fries was good too and so was the 2 pints of ale.
