It's a used Larrivee L-03R Natural according to the listing. But as I see pictures of other similar models, I'm confused by the inlay on the headstock. This is way more elaborate than the plain name. So, without getting a clear view of the label or inside the guitar, what do you think this is?

Are there inlays on the fretboard and bridge as well?
It could be a "vine special" or maybe someone just upgraded the headstock.
You really should have had the serial number by this point.

First, welcome to the Larrivee Forum and I would encourage you to become a regular visitor and contributor.

The 24 series has the same vine inlay as your guitar which is really nice. My 2024 00-24 has a squared off head stock instead of the rounded headstock like your guitar. Someone here on the forum can weigh in and share the development and history of this headstock if you can tell us what year it is. My guess is that Wendy Larrivee created the original design. The L body is one of Jean Larrivee's best body shapes and the satin finish on the 03 series is one of my personal favorites. I have two including a 12 string LV-03 and a slighty smaller six string LSV-03.

Welcome and congrats on your Larrivee!

Can you post the link to the page, or snag a few snapshots of the guitar online? Looks like you might have purchased it from Guitar Center? If so, while they typically remove the page online, it should still be accessible via your email account. Posting full pics of the guitar might yield better answers.

Yes, GC, more pics

Welcome to the Larrivée Forum, makeuacaster.
That's referred to as the "Vine Logo" on the Larrivée site.
Catchy name; huh?
It appears on many different models.
I have an L-09 with this same headstock inlay.

And I hope you get many years of enjoyment from this guitar.

Very good ma'am. Most of these models I've seen don't have this, just the script logo. That's my biggest puzzle.

Congrats! I've seen that inlay (which I love) on some more recent models. Larrivee does a lot of little things here and there to add interest. It doesn't always signify something particularly meaningful. It's just the way they do things. Lots of variety and willingness to use different materials, styles, etc.

Congrats on a fantastic first Larrivee! Looks like you lucked out and they upgraded your guitar's headstock with a vine inlay logo when it was built. It will be a dazzling green abalone inlay that will really look classy (in my opinion). Let us know how you like the tone, I bet it will sound amazing.

It looks like a show piece . . . but it's all about the sound to me. I'm drooling already. A side note . . . why does a player choose one guitar or another? So many reasons, but mine . . . I was made in Oxnard, now I'll have a guitar that's made in Oxnard. I know, not what most of y'all would do. Give a 75 year old a little leeway will ya?
