Hi everyone, I'm new to the group. Please enjoy some donuts!

I've been a Larrivee guitar owner for over 20 years - love my L-03.
I now have an opportunity to buy a 2007 D40rw that appears to be in excellent condition. I played it and it sounds beautiful.
From some research I've done, this might be the limited run for Long & McQuade that occurred at  that time.
Should these guitars be comparable to today's D40 (other than the bracing inside)?
Has anyone seen these bought & sold lately and have a sense of valuation?

Thank you!!

Welcome! It's sounds like you know a bit about the model, and how the bracing changed. As far as quality goes, I personally feel that Larrivees are better than ever. More consistent and they have added things like bone instead of plastic, and wood bindings to all models. That said, a 2007 should be excellent, if it was cared after.

Hard to believe it's almost been 20 years but it would be appropriate to check the saddle height relative to the string action, to make sure it's not headed toward a neck reset anytime soon.

Value really depends on condition but the used acoustic market is very soft right now so you're in a good position as a buyer. I'd expect to pay around 60% of what a new one sells for (maybe a little more if the condition is exceptional). Sellers will always try to get more but the used market is flooded right now.
