Guess it's a good thing these FVII's aren't done yet.  Would not want mine shipped in these temps.  -20C here today.  The waiting however, is hard.

 :gotpics: would be nice!

Cold here on the east coast also. Maybe we get some pics this week. I wonder if Larrivee will be at NAMM in California at the end of the month?

no cold temps here north of Houston, supposed to be 81 today.

19 degrees in my neck of the Michigan woods. Surely I'll be spending a day sometime in the (hopefully) not too distant future staring longingly at a box, waiting for it to acclimate. Been there, done that, and always worth the wait.

Happy New Year, everyone! I wanted to share a quick update on the progress of the VII builds. Late November/December was a whirlwind as we worked hard to fulfill holiday orders for our dealers and customers, and we made significant strides with the Baker-T electronics. Acoustic builds will resume the week of the 12th. The mahogany VII models continue to lead the way, while the walnut models and Mike's build are moving along a bit more slowly due to various production factors. Rest assured, all projects are progressing and will catch up soon. I'll be back at the factory in California on the 19th, and I'll provide another update and a batch of photos then. In the meantime, enjoy these beauties. Wishing you all the best, - JR & Family

Thanks for the update John.

These Mahogany models look spectacular, I'm thinking they'll sound that way too.

OOOOOOOOOOOwweeeeeeee!!  Many thanks for posting these.  Fantastic looking.

Got to comment on the grain.  When you're used to the straight, narrow, parallel grain on spruce [etc] this grain looks remarkable.

Unbelievably beautiful!

There's a lot to be said for anticipation. This is one of those unique situations where you know something really good is coming down the road, and all you can do is wait. And that's OK, and to be enjoyed for what it is.
Those guitars look spectacular!

Those woods sure came alive with the finish coat. Really amazing.

A fitting word to describe the Forum VII would be "Showstopper" and I even like the cartoon print of the Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote hanging on the wall over the work bench. Nice touch. The satin finish will really highlight the wood grain and details of your guitar. If any of you ordered a 00, prepare to have your doors blown off. Last, am I correct in my recollection that the Forum VII guitars include an archtop case? Three of my Larrivees have an archtop case and each of them really do fit like a glove.

Speaking from experience for those of you who are waiting for your guitar, the anticipation is one of the best parts. My Forum VI was one of the last two finished and it shipped in February 2022 and exceeded my expectations in every way. Not only does Larrivee know how to build guitars, they've learned a thing or three about how to package and ship them too. Most of you will probably even want to save the shipping box too after you open it. I've had two Larrivees shipped in February, one in July and one in late September. Waiting that extra day for the box to acclimate to room temperature is well worth the effort.

Wow! Henceforth, the guitars will be known as The Magnificent Seven. Truly spectacular.

Thanks John for the update and wonderful photos.
