I'm new to posting in this board, so hi.
I've have a RS-00 or RS-2 4 knob, that I love but when I bought it the old owner had changed the pickups to SD P-rails with triple shot rings.
I never liked the tone from them, maybe in another guitar they may sound good.

What I would like to do if possible is change it back to stock with the G3 pickups that Matthew made.

Does anyone have a set for sale?

Would Matthew make a set with Alnico 6 neck and Alnico 8 bridge pickups.

I really love it but don't play it much with its pickups.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Contact Larrivée directly, they'll set you on the correct path, I'm sure.

I have so I hope they will.
Thanks

I can't help you with the Larrivee pickups but if you decide to try something else, I can make a recommendation. I've tried dozens of pickups from various makers.

What would recomend if Matthew can't make me a set.

It would entirely depend on what kind of tones you're after, what amps you are going into, and if you like your pickups hot vs having headroom. Also, there are those who like their humbuckers to behave more like single coils (clear, dynamic) and there's a whole world of options for that. Let me know what sound you're looking for and I'll share what experiences I can.

I like in Humbuckers the 58-60 PAF style.

I have a Mesa Roadking1 along with HIWatt DR 103 1970 and Bassman 6G6-B 1964 I believe.
Hot Rod Deville

I can't turn them up because the police show up and all I can say to them is what did you say.

SD makes a couple of nice PAF-style pickups, both with that mid-saturated warmth and loose low-end. The Alnico 2's have a sweetness to them under distortion and it's hard to make them sound bad. I think Slash used them for a while and they definitely embody that sort of searing but smooth tone.

The Pearly Gates is another PAF-style SD that's fantastic. It has a little extra bite in the upper-mids that gives it more clarity. Very helpful for LPs and dark sounding guitars that need just a little extra bite. I'm actually not a big SD fan but I have to admit the Alnico 2 and Pearly (specifically Pearly neck) are both exceptional.

Dimarzio makes some nice options but I think they excel at a tighter low-end and more high frequency extension. I'm not big on their true PAFs, though I love Dimarzios for brighter, tighter tones.

Lollar and Fralin make pickups that sound a lot like vintage pickups. That blend of smoothness and detail and gives a greater feeling of articulation, especially when going just slightly overdriven. They are expensive though. If you want something around a hundred bucks or less, the SDs I mentioned are winners.

l have sets of pickups but want Matthew Larrivee to make a set for the electric RS-00 so it's stock.
I have some I could use but want to see if Matt would work me into production, I'm not in a hurry.

Thanks for your recommendations.

I just bought another Larrivee Acoustic LV-03R 2012 from Canada like its been in its case never used they do make the Best Acoustics and love my electric but want it stock only Weighs 7.2 lbs.
The P-rails aren't my cup of tea if you know what I mean.

That LV-03R must sound amazing!! L bodies look so nice with the cutaway, in my opinion.

Understood. It doesn't really add to the value to have stock pickups as these aren't collector instruments. But, if you want them to be stock or liked the originals, that's totally respectable.

Yes the LV-03R sounds great I really like the Rosewood and being a 2012 it's had time for the wood to season or open up.
It has the LR Baggs and a K&K Trinity mini pro that can be mixed if you connect to a Amp but it doesn't net it at all.

Yes I understand like my others I like them stock.
I do have one 335 with SD JB Hot Rod (bridge) and Jazz Hot Rod (neck) pickups with coil split pots that I like but that's my only one other than the RS that doesn't have stock pups. I have sets of Homes, Arlo, Prs Dragon 1 and Custombuckers with Alnico 3
But want G3 for it.
Hopefully Matthew can make them or someone want to sell a set.
