Just got my first Larrivée, a 1986 LS4 black on black,  with a Khaler 2500 and the weird (but cool) quadruple toggle switch setup. Definately player grade, I intend to block off the trem as I never really use tremolos anyway.

Nice! I'd love to try one of those.
I don't know if you have a preferred trem block but I like the little $8 jobs at AmplifiedParts. They still allow the trem to move when bending, which makes bends so much nicer than a fixed one, but keeps the tuning 100% stable. Minimal installation as well.

Welcome aboard the Larrivee Forum.

It looks like you found yourself a unique, but extremely rare guitar from Larrivee. After you've had time to settle in with this guitar, please share your thoughts and impressions. I can tell from the photos, this is a top quality instrument. Almost everyone who discusses Larrivee electric guitars here have positive comments. You have already gotten some good advice from Bowie, one of the Forum's longtime members and contributors. Until last July, I never owned an electric guitar and then I got a Baker T Pro which opened up new avenues of playing for me. My son has an American made Fender Telecaster and a rare Taylor solid body electric and he has discovered that the Larrivee gives both a run for their money.

Congratulations on your find and drop in on this forum. John Jr. and Matt Larrivee chime in once in a while too.

I'd love to hear more about this, I wasn't aware this was an option, my main concern in this matter is tha ability to change tunings on the fly, not super worried about locking the strings, or absolute tuning stability.
I'm just coming from a PRS se24-08 with a blocked off trem. (First guitar)
