I'm mostly playing my D-09 dreadnaught acoustically, but it does have a Larrivee factory installed Stagepro Anthem.
Recently involved w/ a project w/ two acoustic guitars and drums/percussion, so have been using amplification (such as Bose S1, Schertler Jam, Yamaha G50II...).
If anyone has any suggestions as to best way to EQ the electronics, please let me know. Bit boxy, so far. ;)

There's no best setting as it's all relative to what the user needs at that moment. If it's boxy sounding, try cutting some bass. If that's not enough, experiment with adding highs or mids. Highs give you more of the chimey, tambourine effect. Mids let you come forward a bit more in the sonic real estate. Just be carful about upper mids (2k to 7k) as they can be very harsh to the listener.

With eq, everyone boosts but, that introduces phase distortion and hurts the sound. If you can subtract the stuff you don't like, and raise the overall volume, you're usually better off.

^^^ Thanks @BOWIE - this is helpful.

Or just buy another Larrivee, like an L body size!  :nana_guitar

I'm currently deciding on my last instrument, an L-03R or an OM-40R. I have asked my dealer for his thoughts and a comparison sound sample of two he has.

You can find a lot of resources on this forum to help you with that decision. My only advice is that the L body will give you more robust bass than the OM, while still feeling comfy in your lap. If you are used to the bass in a dread, your ears might like the L body versus the OM.

Very happy w/ the model I have, though - of course - I'm a fan of the L body style too.

I'm pretty sure it will be the L. I did own an OM once, but it didn't quite do it for me. I like the L body shape better than the OM. They both sound great but different. I have 3 scalloped instruments and only 1 non-scalloped braced instrument, the D-03R. I like that D-03R so much I decided it needed a companion. In fact, last year it was between the L and my current D-03R.
