Ran across this video of a Bruce Cockburn live set from 1979 where he's playing his custom Larrivée cutaway. Audio and video quality are not the best, but it's still terrific to watch. I was especially thrilled to be able to see his fingerings on "Bright Sky", one of my favorites.

I've seen Bruce play live 3 times over the years and always leave amazed. Thanks for sharing!

Just listened to a podcast interview with Cockburn. Apparently, he is mainly playing the Boucher guitar he was given a few years ago. He is also heavily into the EADGAD tuning.

When I saw him in June in Buffalo NY, Bruce was playing a Manzer 6 & 12 string, a dobro and the Boucher 6 string plus a dulcimer. He sounded and played great. I noticed he has about 25 additional dates scheduled for the second half of 2023 including three in England and 7 or 8 in Canada. I'm tempted to drive to Hamilton, Ontario to see him again in October. That would be nice to see him on his home soil.

P.S. I'd like to know where he finds the energy to perform at that level.

Who knew Santa could play like that?  :laughin:

At first I thought it was David Letterman and then I remembered he doesn't like resonators.
It's Signund Freud.

Haven't seen him in a long time. I was a little surprised at his appearance. Maybe it's the suit?  :whistling:
