Larrivée F-33; The Cajun

 Well it's long overdue to share the good fortune I have to be the new owner of an astonishing 2008 F-33.
This spectacular instrument came from one of our own here and my beloved A-33 now resides with him. A better Man you'll not find & My eternal gratitude to him for bringing this amazing instrument into my life  cannot be easily measured.
She's a woody barker who's nimble, elegant, and punchy.
The neck is a nice full V, radiused ebony board, with an almost light mint tinged binding.
She feels like an antique, in the best possible way; she feels like a history lesson that was kept in a vault and released in the late 2000's.
She vibrates in your hands in the most reassuring way, this is not a dead or asleep instrument. It BEGS to be played.
I call her "The Cajun" due to her history; unsold in a shop in Louisiana which later closed. My friend acquired her as an unsold case-Queen that was leftover stock long after the shop closed its doors. She then came home to Him in MICHIGAN (lol) and now resides here with me in Alberta,Canada.
Since her arrival, she's been played...a LOT; Dozens of Gigs, Jam Sessions, excessive home practice, a few Video tutorials, shameless Instagram & FB pictures, and is featured prominently on a new Acoustic record we did for an International Indegenous Artist which is set for release this week!!
I want to thank my Friend once more for this; a finer gentleman you'll not find.
I'm off to pick her up off the stand and have my first notes of the day.
