Ya I opened a new thread.

looking for any info on the SO model

appears to be a 000 size but with a 12 fret body join.

Anyone?
"Senior" member means "old" right?
Like over 50?

Too many guitars to list here.
Too few brain cells to be bothered with...

This jogged a memory, there was a recent thread on the Facebook page about this.
The SO is a 000 model. Something to do with the Larrivee computer system.
Pics attached from the thread, and I am including the Larrivee SN info as well on both the SN in the pics.
Now.... why the neck block would be stamped SO or OOO or 000 or whatever is no mystery to me.... whoever stamped the block looked at the order sheet and interpreted or misinterpreted what the neck block would say.... human intervention.

Could SO possibly be a special order?   Similar to what Martin does to differentiate from regular production as in Custom.

Without looking up more 000 guitars on the SN lookup, who knows?
I think it is related to characters allowed on the item code, for example, our F-VI were called LS-03 and VS-03.
John or Matt has explained this in the past, but I cannot find the reference just now.

So it was LS for the non cutaways and VS for the cutaways?  I forget when, and I think it was a special run from LA Guitars and not a Forum guitar, but I had a OOV-03 at one point.  And, aren't there LSV-xx models?    Maybe they have changed that recently (like within the last 10 years or so).

Maybe I don't fully understand your comment, but the models are whatever Larrivee calls them on their website.
Item codes and abbreviations and stuff are things we will understand better as time goes by.
Edit - if you still have the serial number from your old OOV-03 you could look it up and see what Larrivee has on the SN lookup.

And just to satisfy my curiosity, this information is from Larrivee?
Or where else? I mean, you are the one who originally asked the group and if you have arrived at the correct answer, please share.

this from them

SO-50 = 000-50 (SO = Slope OM = 000)

not vague much...the one pictured above is a 12 fret model.
so I get that.
I believe duck trapper had a stunning 000 model, but was it 14 fret?

so.... methinks....
000 (old style) 12 fret body join, is considered a "slope OM"

it is what it is.

the idea of a slope shoulder OM is a cool one I'd say..

Yeah...  not intended as argumentative.  Like you say, they are what they call them, they made them.

When I got my Parlor, that's what they were called, parlors.  It was ??? maybe 10 years or so later I looked it up and found out it was am O-01.  My question was (for the most part), is LS for the not cutaway and VS for the cutaways?

Yes, on the tracking sheets John gave us the LS was no cutaway and VS was the venetian.
I'm happy Kevin brought this up, as I have been sort of intrigued by the 000 or SO and have not played one.
