Nope...ah well, I wish they would have just said "Monday", would have been nice to take the missus to lunch today. And remember the weather in the 70's the past few days? Well, NOW we are snowing - LOL! Looks like a day in the box...sigh.

I hope more of you get your package delivered today. Fedex in my area is sketchy at best.  They don't have a very good track record of delivering to our house at all.  I have had to drive 2 miles to pick up our packages that were "delivered" and start looking at every driveway along our lane to see what house it was dropped at.  I have found boxes in ditches that were Fedex shipped and didn't deliver to the place they were supposed to go.  I have had no issues with UPS or even the USPS.  I know it depends greatly on location and your local end point drivers.  The last Larrivee I purchased direct from the factory made it ok so I am hoping the same with this one.

Yeah, I had a bit of mixup, too. Original date was last Thursday, now tomorrow. Temps went from balmy mid-60s to 20s with lots of snow. Hoping roads are cleared for FedEx to get here on time!

FedEx service in my part of Michigan has been abysmal at best, and I was pretty skeptical when told they were the carrier for our VI's. They subcontract most areas now and it hasn't been working too well. But lo and behold, mine came in perfect condition and on schedule. It felt like a Christmas miracle. Or a Festivus miracle. My strap, ordered from Larrivee after I got my guitar, is scheduled for delivery, by FedEx, today. If I remember correctly, the shipping cost was $8 or maybe $9. The logistics, and the cost breakdown, boggle my simple mind. Just rambling but I will be rooting for everyone's guitar to make it safely to your doors. Sooner than later. They're exquisite!

I like the John Pearse Phosphor Bronze Mediums if you haven't tried them.  I will wait a bit to swap to them on on VI though

Me too. Also use the JP New Mediums as well. I keep trying other strings but always come back to the JP's.

Nice bluesy homage! My new Forum VI is a nice blues box, a fingerpicking delight and so far a perfect all around comfortable guitar!

I cant just keep sitting here at home...too much work to do, so I arranged for FEDEX to leave at a nearby drop-off point for me to pick up. Allegedly they will call when it arrives. We'll see how this goes, eh?

I feel bad for you guys waiting...and waiting. Cold weather aside, Larrivees are known for their solid build quality so aside from the extra day, once they do arrive, your guitars should be just fine. The boxing was pretty nice and actually suspends the case within the box using specialty top and bottom cardboard inserts. Well designed transport box of sturdy material. And my strap that was on schedule for delivery today? Haha, it's stuck in Memphis.

My Forum VI spent the weekend in the Niles, IL facility where it departed this morning at 2:00 am.

For parts unknown! 

No updates all day long...

Same but it is still frustrating when it was supposedly on the truck for early morning delivery last Wednesday.

It traveled 12 miles from Niles to Wheeling, IL today.

I really feel for all of you waiting for a box in the midst of these crazy, cooold holidays...ugh! When a guitar delivery goes off the rails you start thinking the worst, even though it usually doesn't come true. But it's a pain when you're in "guitar delivery limbo"!
