This thread made me take out my SD60 for the last few days, such great guitars !!
I did a little sanding on the saddle to lower the action as 13-56 mediums were a little too high an action for me.
I don't think I have just perfect yet, but it is better and I may go down to 12-54's for a test drive. My guitar is a 2004 and has the wide neck and that has taken some adjustment period to get used to.
Enjoy your new (to you ) guitar !!

Congratulations on a great purchase. It's difficult to imagine why the original buyer sold or traded it. It's also hard to argue about the quality of wood and workmanship that Larrivee puts into their guitars.

I have all of my guitars set up for light gauge including my two Dreadnoughts. I too use Martin phosphor bronze but I like Ernie Ball and D'Addario lights too. It's nice to know that for less than the price of a Pizza, you can buy a couple of sets of strings and at the same time, reduce your carb intake.

Here's to many years of playing satisfaction.
