You see what I mean, post like this gives you GAS and how. BUT I know I am over buying guitars right now, I have 3 Martins waiting to be sold before I decide.  :whistling:

Nah, not this year.  If I had more energy to sell, I would get rid of two Pono's before I buy again.  But if money turns around, I'd love to upgrade my kid's guitar next year.

Christmas guitar came to me early when I found the D09 Brazilian Flying Eagle.   :nana_guitar

Good idea

Once funds accumulate, I'm hoping to find a nice L-03/05.

...........maybe not a new guitar but a new pick up for the guitar.  :nanadance

Yes, purchased my new LR Baggs M-80 from the State, that is my Chrissy present to myself. Sweet

Sadly, since retiring and unless I win a lottery, I've probably bought the last guitar I'll ever buy. Happily, I can go into the spare bedroom where the guitars are stored and ....

.... EVERY DAY IS CHRISTMAS!    :cheers

Not this year. First one in a while that I haven't really wanted anything. I just want more time to play the ones I got.

I'm planning on cruising some of the local big box guitar shops during the holidays in hopes of scoring a Tele at a good price.

Look into a custom made Logan, cheaper and better made than a lot of fenders
At usually under a grand new or used even better, quality guitar
Check it out

My newly arrived Martin Johnny Cash DX is my "Christmas guitar" I guess. The upside is that - even though it's not even made out of wood, and it doesn't sound acoustically like a high end Martin, my wife actually thinks it's pretty cool!

She's seldom impressed with my guitar purchases (usually shakes her head or rolls her eyes); but with this Formica Faux Martin, she lights up like a Christmas tree!  :rolleye:

My newly acquired D09 Brazilian was an unexpected early present.  It will be under the tree, but I have been playing it daily.  Truly a spectacular sounding guitar.  I strung it up with some Martin SP4200 medium phosphor bronze that I bought on a Guitar Center Black Friday 12 pack special years ago.  I have Elixir mediums on my D10 Brazilian, and I have to say I prefer the Martins.  In fairness, the Elixirs have been on the D10 for 9 months.  They still sound good, but the Martins have little more depth to them.  I converted to Elixir simply because they sound good for so long.  I know the Martins will lose the clarity on the bass strings pretty quickly.

Ha ha ha..........How much is the guitar Mike? Could it be why she loves it because of the price.
