Seems to me, it's what one does with the guitar that counts. Whether it's making you or someone else happy. Sometimes we lose track of that.

Indeed. David Wilcox (the American singer-songwriter one) played a gig at my church once, and I was really looking forward to getting an up close look at his Olson guitar. I was almost disappointed when he pulled out ... a Rain Song! When we talked about it, he said he just couldn't justify taking the expensive Olson's on the road anymore, and the Rain Songs were so much more durable - and expendable.

And ... he sounded just like David Wilcox all night long!

There you go. As an aside, I have only played one Olson in my life and while it was nice, I couldn't really see what the fuss was about. Same with the Ryans. I guess if you want to spend more for a guitar, you can always find someone who will accommodate you and more power to them but I've always taken the opposite approach. Where can I find more guitar for less money?

"Senior" member means "old" right?
Like over 50?

Too many guitars to list here.
Too few brain cells to be bothered with...

Guitar Snob Touque

I adorn my guitars with this fashionable Canadian hipster-inspired headwear.

It's my personal joke on those who treat a headstock as a qualification.
