Need help from one of the good guys on the forum

I've a problem, I've found a electric guitar that i really would like to play. But, the seller doesn't want to ship to Europe. There's a Cites permit involved.
I thought if there's someone that I can trust, it will be someone of the Larrivéeforum.
What I need? Someone who wants to receive a guitar from a US seller and then ship it to me in Europe. The seller agreed to ship it to a US customer. I will help as much as I can to get the Cites permit. Offcourse everything will be prepaid by me.
The one who wants to put effort in ' my dreamguitar ' will be rewarded with a 100$ shoppingsession at the Larrivée authentic shop.

I would be very careful about this "transaction".  The "cites" protocol could be troublesome, and possibly have a legal backlash if the guitar is inspected in Europe before delivery.

I'd rather try to find some friend to carry the guitar from US to anywhere in EU. If you love that guitar, buy it and store it at someone in US until you find its Europe ride. Then in EU it can be shipped easily from one place to another.

There's a lot of paperwork involved and it takes time. We will see how it goes. I think there will be less export from guitars that contains Dalbergia species in the future.
We do it the way it needs to be done so I hope everything will be okay. Patience.

Paper work is in the works,as long as the goverment doesn't shut down.FWS told me that sometime in June things may get worked out and the horror could me over.

Well, finally after 8 Months of paperwork, a lot of questions, answers and patience... My guitar finished her trip from the US to Belgium, Europe.
If two men, who never have seen eachother or talked eachother in person, can trust eachother to do a transaction like these then the world isn't wasted that much. Special Thanks to Barefoot Rob who made it all happen

Congratulations Davy!  She is a Beauty.  I am nearly certain you will get a great deal of satisfaction playing that one.   

I recently found a prototype guitar with rosewood back/sides in the Netherlands, but it was built in 2016 and had a Pre-CITES letter of documentation that got it through customs and in my possession in the US in only three days.  I did have to pay $124 duty tax on it though.

A few days ago I found a guitar that is not available anywhere in the US with torrefied Rosewood back and sides (extremely rare), one in the UK and another in the Netherlands.  Both sellers told me it would take 2-4 weeks to obtain the proper CITES permit at a cost of around 60 GBP.  Then shipping to the US was to take less than a week.  After reading about thousands of guitars that have been confiscated, even the 4 weeks for the permit makes me a bit uneasy so I have not made a move on either one...


Maybe the direction across the big pond makes a difference?  I won't ship international, even to CAN, because I have had so many bad experiences...  The sellers in Europe take it in stride...

Really glad she arrived alive.I only had a chance to play it a little bit as my left hand playing is so limited.Pickups sounded really good,over all fit and finish was really good for a used guitar.I've had a few B+G's thru my shop 4 Little Sisters all righty nice stuff.

After a few weeks of playing this Little Sister, I can say this is the best guitar I did ever played. All I can say folks, take a look at B&G, they build guitars like they did it in the 50's and I guaranty you can feel it. Thanks Rob, again, to make this happen.
