Our friend Brian T at the Larrivee factory in Vancouver might be able to sell ya some.... or hook ya up? should give him a call. ;)

i put on a set of Planet Waves ebony pins, $11 at guitar center or musicians friend. fits well although the low E you might want to enlarge the slot slightly. it seems to add sustain but dampened the highs and brightness by a little bit on my DV03.

I spoke with Brian at Larrivee this week and ordered some ebony bridge pins along with a tortis pickguard.  Quick, friendly and great service.

Email him and he'll hook you up.

I spoke with Brian about a month ago to order Ebony pins for the Parlor I recently bought.  I think he's a bit busy, but he politely took my order and apparently promptly mailed them to me as I got them in several days.  Really, I don't think they did anything to the sound, but I just liked the idea of real wood as opposed to plastic.

I just ordered a set of black tusq bridge pins... I'll tell you how those turn out.  I don't like the plastic Larrivee ships with.

where did you get the black tusq from ? do they have dots ? i'm trying to find ones without dots. not crazy about the sound with ebony pins and i think tusq should brighten it.

If the kind of pins you're using changes the sound very much, you're doing something else wrong. My opinion.

A string's vibrational energy should be captured by transfer to the saddle and bridge.
