SOLD

Just bumped the price to $900 for Larrivee Forum members. $950 to ship to Canada.

Hello Larrivee Forum Friends,

I've loved being part of this forum since I joined last summer. I love reading all of your ideas on these amazing guitars, but haven't actually posted yet until now. I've posted this for sale on a couple other sites, but would love to sell my guitar to a forum member at $1,000. I really wish I could keep this guitar, but I just got a 20 year-old OM-05 and can't keep both. This guitar made me fall in love with music all over again. As the former owner of a nice Taylor acoustic guitar, I couldn't believe the value I was getting at nearly half the price of a 400-series Taylor when I first played this Larrivee L-03R.

What I love about this all solid-wood guitar is how versatile it is across playing styles with great balance and a solid low end. With a mahogany neck, spruce top and rosewood back and sides, you are not going to find a better all solid-wood guitar at a better price. The action is so great that, depending on your preference in strings, you may want to spend $20 on a new saddle. I prefer mediums and simply inserted a few paper shims to raise it up a hair. Check out the Larrivee website for all the specs on their current L-03R model.

This guitar was born in 2004, which has really allowed the tone to open up. It is in excellent condition, nearly mint, and sounds great whatever style you play. No cracks or serious wear marks. I kept it well humidified and always in its case. Comes with OHSC in good shape and a nice black strap. Free shipping. Only shipping to CONUS.

Save hundreds off the retail cost for a new L-03R and instead get the rich tone from this beautiful model that I am really having a hard time putting up for sale.

Glad to have owned a few nice guitars

Hi, I'm after that exact model.  I do live in lower Canada, in British Columbia.  You'll have a sale if you want to ship it here and have references.

How is the action at the 12th fret and is there much room for the saddle to go down?

thanks,
Brasoce aka Dean

Thanks for reaching out Dean. The action is great. For my medium strings, I had to put in a few paper shims to pick up the action a hair because it is as low as it can get without buzzing. Take the shims out for lights, or just get a new saddle. Happy shopping.

Thanks,

Jake

Two important questions:
1.  As it is currently set up, with the saddle shimmed and medium stings installed, how much saddle height, at it's highest point, is there left sticking out above the bridge?  (To the nearest 64th inch).
2.  As it is currently set up, what is the distance between the bottom of the low E string and the top of the 12th fret (to the nearest 64th inch)?

So I guess you won't ship to Canada then; even if it means a sure sale?

Back in '66, I was 13 and that was my fix.
Still shooting for stardom after all this time.
If I never make it, I'll still be fine.

Here's what I can offer for your three questions:

1) Picture 1 shows the saddle at 3/16ths at the low E string.
2) Picture 2 shows the low E string landing right in between the 1/16th and 1/8th markers
3) I will gladly ship to Canada for Larrivee Forum members only at $1,100 all inclusive.

Just click on the photos to show them right side up.

Looking forward to finding this awesome guitar a good home. Hope this info helps.
