Use this thread to nominate your choice for Guitar of The Month picture. Post the picture in this thread.

The nominations will be  according to the following rules:

1. If a member's Larrivee instrument has been GOTM previously, it can not be GOTM again
Forum>Misc>Pictures>The Hall of Fame, previous Guitar of The Month pictures (2007-2012 Archives)

2. If a member has had a GOTM in the last 3 months, another picture from that member can't be nominated again.

3. Nominations must be pictures of Larrivee made instruments (guitars, ukes, mandos, etc) owned by a member and posted by members on this forum.

4. Nominations will be in a sticky thread in the Pictures section started by one of the mods each month. By about the 20th of the month a Vote thread will be started (each month) so that members can pick the next GOTM from the nominations.

5. Nominations will be closed each month by a mod after 6 nominations have been received.

6. URL links from your image-hosting site [photobucket, shutterfly, Picasa, ImageShack] are preferred to uploaded images. (That's actually just a suggestion; not truly a rule.)

7. One picture of each nominated instrument  only, please.

8. Only one instrument owned by the same person, and only one nomination per person please.

9. This thread is about nominating the GOTM. if you wish to post a bunch of pictures of your guitar, better to start your own thread [in Pictures].

10. A member may nominate his/her own guitar, or an instrument belonging to another member.

How about TubaMike's pic. after this year maybe it's time for some fun.

That's an OM-50. I just happen to know in this particular instance. Often I can't tell from looking at the image.
It is very helpful if you identify the guitar in the nomination.
The GOTM on the home page always lists the owner/forum member's name and the make/model of the guitar.

Here is my favorite shot of that guitar.  However, it is a panaromic shot and I don't think it will work.  If it does, however, I would nominate this picture of Tuba Mike's OM-50 (I do love this guitar!).

Why don't you just crop the couch out?
JMO, but I think it would be an even better picture that way

Rules 7 & 8 prohibit another entry of the same guitar and/or owned by the same member.

Sorry for any confusion or rule breaking.  I wasn't trying to nominate the guitar twice.  I was merely saying if we were to nominate my guitar that is the picture I would want.  As for cropping the photo, one of the things I like about it is our kitten sleeping on the coach.  I pulled the post so there will be no problem.  My bad.
Larrivee Forum IV - #19
(the Steve Yzerman of guitars)
1937 Kalamazoo archtop
Kremona classical
King 2341 BBb tuba
Wessex BBb Helicon

Never even saw the kitten.  But then, I was looking at the guitar...as I  should have been.

I never noticed the Santa or Christmas tree in the current GOTM picture either.
"Badges?  We don't need no stinkin' badges."

Became a Shooting Star when I got my 1st guitar.
Back in '66, I was 13 and that was my fix.
Still shooting for stardom after all this time.
If I never make it, I'll still be fine.

What Santa?  What tree?

I'll be traveling on the 1st of the month so it will be late in the day, maybe even the following day before I get the January GOTM up on the home page. But I'll try to at least lock the voting from my phone.
By the way, y'alll know that you're allowed to nominate once the nominations are open; right?
You don't have to wait until the 30th or 31st.
Just thought I'd clarify that.

Here is a shot of my Forum III the day it was finished in Vancouver. An employee is playing a sweet tune. (it's my hat)  Just something else to vote for.
