new guitar

hey guys;having a guitar built at the factory.i've emailed and called them but they never get back to me...just wanted to see how it's going,and ask a few questions...am i out of line to inquire about this ?are they too busy?anyone ever call them? thanks!

yep, def ask the dealer. i did get a response when i emailed them about the same thing. it was: "talk to your dealer!"

No easy answer for you.   We all know how it feels to WANT a new guitar.  Having one made has got to be MUCH more GAS pains!

Play all you can, look at all the info you have on your spec sheet...and grin and bear it.  I am sure they gave you some timeline when you ordered.  They usually allow for being able to beat that deadline, but hope they do.

Check with your dealer, ask them for timeline and when you can call them again.  I thought many of dealers now do regular e-mail updates on gear in production...ask about it?

I ordered an Ophirio from Rod Schenk and was told the delivery was 2 months hence. I waited patiently and when I didn't hear anything I called (or emailed). His reply was "another month". Long story short: it was finally delivered 5 months after the original "promised" date. Your dealer should be able to give you a realistic date to expect it but if they pad it don't fret. Just thank your lucky stars that the economy is improving and know that when you get it the wait will have been worth it; mine was.
