I've been tempted to try electrics but all the hardware w/ amps and pedals etc. seems a little complicated,
so thought I'd start small/simple w/ the K+K pure western mini.
I followed the instructions I found online here:
http://www.frettech.com/kk/index.html
and I was relieved to find my Larrivee F-IV already has a 1/2" hole for the pin
(now have an unused tapered reamer from Harbor Freight ).

No Amp, so I put a mono 1/4" plug on an old RCA audio cable I had and plugged into AUX 2 on my Samsung surround system
- sounds very nice tho I have to turn volume up quite high like 40 of 50 max for a big sound, 45+ is quite fun and sounds clean.
A K+K 9v belt preamp would probably help - and so begins the journey into electrics.
Fun start !   :cheers
