I have a 1987 Lowden S10P that I would like to trade.

It was made in Northern Ireland. I understand that Lowden at that time used an S designation for mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni) and the P stands for piezo. It has a two piece neck. A split saddle was not used for the P models. My S10P is similar in size, shape and woods used as a Lowden O10 or O22.

I have had some work done on her since I bought her (releveling of the frets and a fairly recent setup). Also I gave her some much needed cosmetic tender loving care. She plays and sounds magnificent, vibrant and woody.

I am not sure if it has the original piezo (I suspect not), but whatever the pick up is it sounds terrific; incredibly natural, no quack. I've plugged the original piezo control holes with a couple of standard wooden hole plugs, just pressure fit.

I am interested in trading for something that is a good all-arounder preferably with rosewood back and sides and spruce top but I'm not really that picky. I am not interested in pristine cosmetics, just playability and tone.

If you are interested please e-mail at Kevin.m.mcneill@gmail.com or PM.

Thanks,
Kevin

Don't be bashful.  Can't hurt to ask.
