Fishman Pro EQ

Has anyone used a Fishman Pro EQ Acoustic preamp with their E model acoustic? Can you tell me if it makes a huge difference? I have not use one before but thinking of purchasing one soon. Thanks

fongie, what exactly are you looking to get out of it?  The E larrivee already has a preamp (as far as I know).  I have one so let me plug it in and see what I find then I will return with an update.

Ok, I plugged in my LV-19E with B-Band A2.2 PUP, that plugged into my Genz Benz acoustic 100.  Very useful for coloring the output, in other words you can go from warm mellow tones to bright biting leads and anywhere in between. I don't spend a lot of time playing with this stuff as my LV sounds very natural plugged straight in to the amp.
I have been using the Fishmen to plug in line with my F-III with the K&K mini but it requires moving the low all the way to the - side because of impedance mismatch. It does allow me to adjust volume level from across the room though.
I would eventually like to pick up a K&K preamp to make the most out of the pickup though.

Thanks for that LV19, I have one on watch but if it doesn't work out I will PM you. Can this gadget be use with a soundhole pickup, that is why I am so interested? Thanks

fongie, actually the guy I bought it from was using it with a sound hole pickup.
Wild story, I bid on this on e-Bay and won. When I paid I realized I had bought it from a friend I hadn't seen in 20yrs. We arranged to meet for exchange, have a couple  and catch up. It was an enjoyable experience.

How bizarre was that, I'm glad you both had a fantastic reunion   Hey LV, you are from the US right? That would be bizarre if this item I'm bidding on is yours.  So he was using it with a soundhole pickup, huh? Thats even better news, thankyou.
