Hey Dane
That is sad indeed. I hope you'll get it back soon.

Dreadful news! The whole Forum must be wishing your guitar back to you.

Hey thanks everybody. I have filed a police report (I have relatives on the force), gotten news to the local pawn shops. I am going to get news to the guitar stores in the area this weekend. I live in a small community and everyone knows everyone. I put it out on my Facebook status and our church sent an email to all of our members.

Again thanks for all of the advice.

Have you also notified the persons in charge of the AA groups that meet in your church? They need to be made aware that this happened while they were using the building.

Like everyone else I am saddened over the theft of your guitar. It's an unfortunate sign of the times we live in.
I hope the guitar is returned to you in good condition at some point.

I am in the security business and I see this type of thing on a daily basis as I put together alarm and surveillance systems for my clients. These days it's rare to have an area that is not, in some fashion, covered by a video surveillance system of some kind. You may not even be aware of it but we are all being viewed by video cameras if we go out in public very much. You wouldn't think a church would need such a thing but I know of some churches that have reached the point that they had to do something because of repeated theft and / or vandalism. That's a sad state of affairs.

Your guitar is distinctive enough that it will be spotted by someone at some point. Have hope. I am confident that it will show up.

Dane, since you live in such a small community, the chances of it being sold or pawned nearby are slim. Q's site for stolen items is new to me. Take Rob's advice & get the word out further than just local places. Since it's such a unique guitar, the chances are better for it to be found?
If bought by any shop, just makes them as slimey as those that stole it. But, that's part of their business, being the musical one. Try to get something re-sellable at a good price, no matter what. Really sucks. I'm truly sorry about this. :crying:

Hopefully you will find it in good health. There is always hope, remember Peter (Puff's Papa) found his Larrivee.

Since you have relatives that work for the PD and you have an approx time of theft you might consider having relative canvas local neighbors/businesses who might have video of the street - some guy walking down the street with a guitar case would be a good suspect. Something to consider BUT do it quickly as some systems overwrite in 72 hours or less
Larrivee Electrics - My Dream then and Now!!!!!

Forum IV 00-03MT #4 (Treasured)

They made 9 Forum-I guitars made, according to ST's site. There were 17 F-IIs made. Both are an OM with either a spruce top or all HOG, having an abalone rosette with -03 series appointments. Say Forum-? on the label with the #, as 1 of 17. The real thing to watch for is an OM-03 with an abalone rosette . Only ones that have it. Add that to the info, as it is a big flag for your guitar. The abalone was a surprise (gift) form the Larrivees.
  Good luck again!

Dane,

Ouch. I feel your pain. I have Forum II #7, and if your guitar is anything like its older brother, you have lost a treasure.

I certainly hope you get it back. If they catch the perp, nothing short of extraordinary rendition is called for.

Danerada, my prayers are with you for a quick and undamaged solution .

That would be Randy's.

My replacement was built with the FII's but has a FI label, so 9 FII's is correct I believe.

Man, those are beautiful guitars. I've been thinking of moving my L-10, as it isn't getting much play time. Plus 2 more guitars on order. Might have to try to trade with a little cash to TRY to get an all HOG OM, esp. a Forum one. Chances are, no one will part with theirs, so a waiting game? Can try & get a OOO-15s, but with HOG & not Sapele. Larrivees mahogany is so gorgeous. Martin stains theirs, so hides the wood?
Again, wish I was part of that build. Joined too late, but have had Larrivees for years! :thumbsup :nice guitar:
Good luck again with your search. Good things happen to good people, so hopefully will have a happy ending?
