A lesson for all of us! -03s don't have to be... blingless? Love the rosette and the other post-mfg touches. Beautiful guitar.

Thanks for that, I never had known what the Forum OM's were. I was hoping for the original Larrivee OM specs. 4'' max. depth etc.

Nope. Apart from the 12-fret neck, silver logo and rosette the OM-03 and OM-03MT (Forum & Forum II) guitars were strictly stock at 4.25" deep at the tail block. Jason Brantley from Notable Guitars brokered both runs and IIRC the intent was to keep the price reasonable, just as with the LS-03 and LS-03MT Forum 3's. I don't know if it's Larrivée's decision or if it was Jason's decision, but basically the same rules seemed to apply then and they're applying to the upcoming 00-03MT Forum 4: only one option allowed.

Since I started the F-IV and helped start the F-III and with Tad's helped pushed for the original specs.(which are 4'' max. depth etc.) I'm aware of Larri sizes more now and I was hoping that some of the OM's might be made to original specs. I think I'm going to have to try for a OM-lite.
As I age the size I can play is limited to smaller lower bouts or thinner depth or a tight waist. (heh that's sounding like my little wife) Must be a subliminal deal  :whistling:

For Clarity, for both the original 17 Forum OM-03 12 fret's and the Forum II's there were two choices,   Spruce top or Mahogany top, both over Mahogany B/S.   The Forum II run was a repeat of the original Forums due to popularity and demand  for more of them.
The headstock inlay "Larrivée" is Mother of Pearl and the rosette is abalone. No silver headstock trim.

Love the one I have. Like the 12 fret F-III they have some extra Umph at the low end.....sweeeet.   :thumbsup

Good luck with your sale...  Someone is going to get a great guitar for a bargin price.    :beer

Do you think that the Greven pickguard and John Pearse Armrest can be safely removed?  (Just wondering...)

Gregg

Dental floss takes arm rests off nicely.  Naptha removes excess adhesive if there's much left.  Pickguards come off with a little heat: they peel off and most are pretty much shot by the time they're off.

THAT sure is a lovely guitar!

Dot-sent you a PM.  I'll take it, please! :+1:

I've played this one and have heard Gary play it. It's in great condition but words can't even describe how good it sounds.  I wish I could get it!
