Those photos are fantastic!  If you're even a better guitarist than you are a photographer, then you need to start posting audio clips immediately!  My guess is someone who clearly loves the way his guitars look is even more tuned in to their unique sound characteristics.  Thanks for sharing!

Well, I do not consider myself a better player than photographer.  Photography is my profession.  I do purchase guitars based on how they sound, rather than how they look, and I love the tonal differences of the guitars I own.  I have posted a couple of clips of some small things (comparing the difference between bone and tusq saddle on a FIII).  I hope to have more time this winter to really compare the sounds of some of my guitars.  In the mean time, I will try to photograph some more when time permits.  Thanks again all for the compliments....

Matt, I did enjoy your clip of playing the F-III.
Heh, do you have any nice pics of my F-III? Since I am such a dunce at taking pics I thought I might check with you and possibly get a nice shot of mine to post on the forum.
Also, have you ever considered putting together a little photo scrap book of the Larrivee tour we took? I can think of 20 or so folks who may like a copy of that. I would surely buy one.

Hey Matt, Jeff here. Long time since we spoke. Remember my frantic c F-III call that Sunday? Just wondering, could I borrow your studio for a day to take alot of pics of all of my guitars. Could squeeze 'em all in one day? A one time thing! Will it ship easy? :humour:
Still don't know how you get so many high-quality pics on one post. Will have to share your secret sometime? I might have to break out my go-to Olympus IS-3 DLX, using my F-40 flash & shroud. Film camera, but takes the best pics of any camera I've used. I know you told me that you use a high-end digital for your work, which makes sense  since it is the year 2009? Bought my camera in '92, cats-meow back then. Still a great camera. Your pics are fantastic, only better for describing the guitar w/o words! :thumb

Danny,

I do not have a photo of just your guitar.  I know there are some from the tour, but not of just your guitar.  I can send you a link to a folder of the images, that you can download and make your own book if you like. I did the slide show at my website for those who wanted a record.

Sorry, but next time you are in the area. give me a call and I will photograph whatever guitar you have!

Jeff, I put the photos on my web site, then I just copy and paste the link to those photos (I am not putting the photos into the post, just hyperlinks using the place photo tool).  all the web traffic comes from my web site, not the Larrivee forum.  You can borrow my studio anytime...as long as you come here.   Thanks Jeff for the compliments.

Very good composition and use of lighting!

You take really great pictures! I grew up around it as my mom was was a photographer and I used to help her in the dark room. Mighty fine.

Darkroom???  I Remember those days...so do my fingers from living in the darkroom.  You must have some great memories and stories having a mom as a photographer.

Thanks for the photo compliments.

YES! Once again a great photo.

:+1: Great photos of a stunning guitar!

(All whiny-like) I wish I could get decent pictures of my guitars so I could be GOTM.  :crying:

Well I thought the pic of the full display of your guitars was a great one. I suppose it is supposed to be Guitar (singular) OTM -- still that one had the most visual interest for me in a while. You know, candy store.

Yep, Hadden...as you can tell I have a sweet tooth!.  I was looking a that photo, and I played just about everyone of those except the resonator and the T5-12 string this week.    I have so enjoyed playing and acquiring guitars over the last few years.

Thanks

Thanks Danny and bapebeer.

Danny,  I play the Taylor GS5, the Cargo, the FIII M/is the most.  My Taylor GS and the Breedlove passport and Taylor T5 are my main guitars I use at church.

I am using the CS-05 for my fingerstyle lessons and practice.  I love its crisp tone and response.
